Version History:
1.9.1
Allow opening of all file types
 Enable 1912+ marriages spouse name
Allow BMDNAME.TXT, BMDDIST.TXT and BMDDIST2.TXT files using DOS, Windows, or Mac line endings. (should make them less problematic for users to edit / modify)
 Fix URLs in about box
Known issue: quotes in dist names still may not work properly in some cases

1.9
Carbon version in main distribution. Should work on OS X and OS 9.
Attempt to allow quotes in district names in the autocomplete file, ie you can put this into BMDDIST.TXT:
"Beth,Green",2a

1.7.4
MacBMD will properly autocomplete the first district.
No window created if file open fails.

1.7.3

 Fixed internet config bug

1.7.2

Surname "lock" implemented. Click the little lock icon (or hit cmd-L) when you have 500 SMITHs to transcribe, and you wont have to tab through the surname box anymore.
 More memory leaks fixed.
 Improvements to status floater.
 Smaller application size.

1.7
You can now use "return" as a full synonym for TAB, including option-return and control-return for the middle name boxes. Also "space" after given names will enable middle name boxes.
Fixed freeze where prefs were opened with no document window open.
Bad memory crash fixed. You shouldnt need to give it over 2 megs.
Free Memory display added to status floater. Floater still needs some fixes though, like clearing the count if you close the window, etc. If it goes below 5% you should give it more RAM.
Fixed bugs invoving stepping to next/previous names and districts.
As always i reccomend backing up your file (make a "copy" in the finder) or upload the transcription in progress every page or two to FreeBMD. Future versions will auto backup your file.

1.6.1

Fixed bug where "Scan-disabled" got pasted in from the source info dialog.

1.6

Middle name autocomplete was becoming buggy and hairy to code, so I added separate edit fields for the middle names. There is now a new interface:

- When you are in the given name box, type option-tab to enter the first (and subsequent) middle name fields.
- Once you have "enabled" a middle name field with option-tab, you just tab into it.
- If you no longer need the middle name field(s), simply control-tab, and the middle name fields which are after it will disable.
- You only get 5 middle name fields. If there is someone with more than that, add the name manually using the text box at the top of the window.
- This is more intuitive than it sounds, try it.
Fields you dont need in the "source info" dialog box properly disable for the scanned source type.

1.5

Implemented WASTE text engine. MacBMD now:
- Supports more than 32k of text.
- Supports Drag and drop.
- Supports _Unlimited_ Undo/Redo of "tab" actions. Note that using PAGE, BREAK, or one of the info dialogs will reset the undo table.

Fixed bug saving email/pass/record order/record type dialog box.
Wont autocomplete if you typed a space first.
Automatically puts the entry in "quotes" if you typed a comma.
 Rennovated About box.

1.2
Check box for surname caps, which is remembered between sessions.
Check box for roman numerals remembered between sessions.
No more ugly boxes. They are now transparently saved and added when you save the file. (you will notice them if you open the file in simpletext, though). Now you can copy and paste properly, and the files should upload with all browsers.

1.1
You can now use cmd-Arrow keys to move the window around. I like this for doing a scan in the background window.
You will notice ugly boxes every time you go to a new line. These are there so freeBMD will directly accept your file as an upload. No more need to copy and paste it in!
